Rugged Romantic Engagement Session

This rugged, romantic engagement session is a favorite of mine. Something about the golden grasses and hazy sunshine makes it so romantic. Not to mention the beautiful people, tattoos and tulle! Alissa + Daniel reached out to me in their search for a wedding photographer. So, we met at Starbucks like I do with most of my clients. Alissa shared her thoughts with me and filled me in on their “non-traditional” wedding plans. I absolutely fell in love with their vision and all the little things that make this couple unique. And now that they have decided to go with me for their big day, I am over the moon excited and honored to witness it all!

    The Process

After they booked me for their wedding day, Alissa + Daniel decided to go with me for their engagement photos as well. Alissa had some solid ideas of what she wanted to wear and the vision she shared with me including masquerade masks was the cherry on top. Because, I love anything creative and bold and wow did they deliver. My favorite thing about Alissa is, and she’ll tell you herself, “I like to be a little different”. I can absolutely see their unique style and tastes come through in these images as subtly, yet as strongly as their love for each other.

    The Session

I usually scout a few different locations after speaking to my clients about what they envision for their engagement photos. Luck would have it that in the early stages of winter, this particular spot looked so rugged and romantic. I freaking loved working with Alissa + Daniel because of their chemistry. You can just tell that Daniel adores Alissa and would give her the moon if he could. And Alissa’s sweet and playful personality really shines through in these images. My favorite image has to be the candid of the two among the grasses, Alissa laughing at some secret joke with Daniel looking on, amused. I hope you enjoy this little love story as much as I do.
